MEMBERSHIP IS IMPORTANT FOR SEVERAL REASONS
Membership identifies you with a local church body. As you take your place in God’s family through salvation, it's His intention that you also commit yourself to a local church and become a committed contributor in that church family. The reason for this is simple. Accepting Jesus is a personal, private decision that you make on your own. But living out your faith is a corporate, public endeavor. Our faith is not to be lived in isolation. Members are called to a biblical degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice. Our leaders pledge to assist our members with care, counsel, prayer and teaching.
BECOMING A MEMBER
The membership process includes four steps:
You'll need to attend our Membership Class. This class is offered twice a year – typically in the spring and fall – and is held on Sunday following the morning service. Please watch the bulletin for the class announcement and then sign up as indicated.
If you haven't been baptized by immersion as a believer, then you'll need to attend our Baptism Class, which is offered twice a year in conjunction with the membership classes. At this point, you are encouraged to complete, sign and return the Membership Application/Church Covenant.
You'll meet with one of our church Elders for a membership interview.
Be welcomed into the church family through membership vote at our next business meeting upon the Elder’s recommendation.
